Let me introduce myself...
I’m a wife, mom, photographer and artist. I often feel like a proverbial late bloomer, making up for lost time and keeping busy. I bring that energy and sense of gratitude, curiosity, with intention to my work.
My goal is to create beautiful images you will cherish for years to come while capturing life’s milestones and the magic moments in between. I hope your session becomes a wonderful memory in itself. Whether you’re celebrating a new baby, your family, a big event, new career, or even a new home, these moments deserve to be documented and remembered.
Growing up in Alaska was a gift. Glaciers, whales, and mountain trails were my “backyard”. That one of a kind childhood influenced my love of art and photography. I traded glaciers for the Oregon's ocean beaches while I studied at the University of Oregon, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Studying inspiring artists, photographers, and designers continues to influence my creative eye today.
After graduating, I worked several years in early childhood education and hospitality. Those demanding, high energy positions taught me patience, connection, and exceptional customer service. All my experience came together when I began working as a studio photographer for a large Seattle Portrait Studio. I spent 14 years and shot over 20,000 sessions learning to put people at ease, notice the details, and create beautiful images that feel both natural and meaningful.
When I got married in 2006 and began raising a family, it felt like the right time to create something of my own - Carolyn Coffee Photography. It's been 20 Years! To celebrate, I am thrilled to begin serving as a Soulumination board member after 18 years as a volunteer photographer. Today, I live with my family east of Seattle in the North Bend area, where I’m still surrounded by mountains, while playing in a big “backyard”. Carolyn Coffee Photography serves King/Pierce/Snohomish Counties.
